We built modernity on heritage
The village of Moshny in Cherkasy Oblast is a unique location where Riverwood is located - a space of unique landscapes and deep meanings.
According to one version, “moshna” means “wealth”: since the Paleolithic era, mammoth hunters lived here, later — Cimmerians, Scythians and representatives of the Chernyakhiv culture, and the Dnieper was the path “from the Varangians to the Greeks”. According to another — “moshny” means “gate”, because it was here that important phenomena of Ukrainian and world history took place: the birth of the Cossacks, the route of the Haidamaks, visits by T. Shevchenko. Now his museum operates here.
In Moshny, the first Cossack seagulls were built, and the first steamboats in Ukraine were created. Under the patronage of Prince M. Vorontsov, the village became a cultural center with a palace and park ensemble, the man-made Fosa River, the Transfiguration Church, a church and the Svyatoslav Tower, the pillar of which has survived to this day.
